Easter 2016: Her Hopper Collection

Well it finally happened.  She always knew it would.  In fact she had been anticipating it.

 

She had too many hoppity hops.

 

Each year she would have a set of hoppers ready for the celebration, and would end up taking one or two home with her.  Of course some would not last until the next year, but the number would still increase in the end.

She loved her hoppity hops.  They were all so bouncy, and tight, and fun to play on.

 

But of course, because they were inflatable, she loved making them pop too.

 

As her designated “Hopper Room” began to reach capacity, she decided that once it was completely full, she would have to do something about her private collection.

 

Of course that answer was simple.  But how many would she take out?  A dozen?  Half?

 

No, since it was a special occasion, and she was feeling extra frisky this year . . .

 

She would start from scratch.  It would be the perfect way to break in her new heels too; she was eager to see if they were up to the task.

 

The bunny had never bothered to keep actual count before, and she had little reason to keep track now.  When it came down to the last ten, perhaps she would have a good old fashioned countdown to celebrate the room being emptied . . .  Well, after cleaning the pieces of course

Okay, finally got one done of my most popular "original" character; the Easter Bunny!

I did this one completely devoted to hoppity hops, because that is what everyone seems to want each year from her.

About two years ago I had done a similar picture for this, but I could not quite get the pose right at the time.  I went back, and redid the sketch from scratch, and eventually ended up with what you are seeing here.  I am also attempted some new techniques for conveying motion, but I am not sure they turned out like how I had planned.  Looking back on it now, I only had some idea of how it would work, and maybe I should brush up on it for later on.
